An Introduction
SANT BABA HARI SINGH MODEL SCHOOL (Affiliated with the CISCE Board) is established in Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College (Mahilpur) Campus. As you know very well that Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur (Known as Football Nursery of Asia), is a post graduate, multi faculty, co-educational premier institution in a rural-backward area of District Hoshiarpur (Punjab). The College was established in 1946 by His Holiness 'SANT BABA HARI SINGH JI KAHARPURI', the Founder President of the Sikh Educational Council, with a missionary zeal for imparting quality education to the socially, economically and educationally deprived people of this rural, backward area of the District. The College has been following the exhortation of the 10th Sikh Master Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, who asked to follow the commands of the Almighty 'to pursue the good of humanity'. It is a top-notch educational centre amongst the premier institutions of higher learning in Northern India. It is a place where one can learn, interact, grow and discover, where excellence, creativity and innovation are the only bottom line and merit is honoured and commitment rewarded. Since its beginning, the Institution has produced a galaxy of brilliant minds to serve the society in different walks of life.
Sant Baba Hari Singh Model School is committed to meet the academic and social needs of all students in a caring, safe and respectful environment where all children can excel. Our main focus is to address the students' intellectual and developmental needs in a manner that fosters independent thinking, strong values and character and a desire to become contributing members of the Society. Good academic achievements are not meaningful unless they are built on a foundation of strong character, values and life-skills. Besides paying very close attention to academic excellence, there is a keen focus on the character development of the children too.
